A small practice built around one steady question.
How does independent journalism stay careful, and stay trusted, without a large staff behind it?
Sylvera started in a Surakarta press room, in conversations that kept circling back to the same gap: writers and small editorial teams rarely have anyone to ask when a column feels off or a corrections policy feels thin.
We built the practice around that gap. Not consulting in the abstract, but sitting with actual columns, actual assignment sheets, actual about pages, and working out what would genuinely help.
What drives the work now is the same thing that started it: independent journalism holds up better when someone outside the daily grind can look at it plainly and say what they see.
